Nate Prosser
Owner / DesignerNate Prosser is co-owner of Tallahassee Nurseries and manages the Landscaping Division. He works in all areas of landscaping and specializes in the design and installation of drainage systems. Nate grew up on Lake Talquin and loves fishing and hunting in the outdoors. He’s a real “people person” and enjoys working with customers. Nate majored in Business Management at FSU and is a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional.
Julie Neel Horne
DesignerJulie Neel Horne works in many facets of landscaping including small to very large planting plans that reflect the customer’s dream gardens including lawn choices, beds, irrigation and hardscape needs. Julie designs practical plans for drought tolerant xeriscapes, deer-resistant gardens, and low maintenance plans using durable, no-pruning-needed evergreen trees, shrubs, and groundcovers. She also designs butterfly gardens and draws conceptual plans for unique patios, walls, parking, decks, pergolas, walkways, firepits and outdoor living areas. Julie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in business at the University of Georgia in 1979 and an Associate’s Degree in Horticulture from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 1988.
Frank Douglass
DesignerFrank Douglas has been a Landscape Designer for nearly 30 years and a Lighting Designer for over 18 years. He specializes in large projects including several hunting plantations in North Florida and South Georgia. Frank grew up in Tallahassee and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Florida in 1982. He is a Florida Certified Landscape Designer and a member of the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association Advisory Board. He is also a part-time musician with a band called The Fried Turkeys.
Jane Chichetti
DesignerJane Hudson Chichetti has worked in Landscape Design and Landscape Architecture for over 13 years. Jane is attentive to the needs of the client while visualizing the whole project from start to finish. Her specialty is incorporating native plantings into the designed landscape. Commercial and residential designs that are low maintenance, attractive and provide the “finishing touch” for your project is her specialty. She has worked in the public and the private sector of the industry as a designer and as an Adjunct Professor in Landscape Architecture. Jane earned a Master of Landscape Architecture Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design from Florida A & M University. Jane also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Florida State University.
Steve Bos
DesignerSteve Bos joined the Landscape Design Team in 2015 with a lifelong career in all things relating to ornamental horticulture. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Texas A&M in 1992 and worked as a Propagation Manager and Nursery Grower for over 20 years. Steve is a Florida Certified Landscape Contractor with extensive skills in landscape design, installation, and maintenance. He will customize your landscape to fit your needs while choosing the right plant for the right place for maximum beautification. In his spare time, he loves being a Boy Scout leader with his two sons.
Kathy Lindstam
DesignerKathy Lindstam has been a Landscape Designer with Tallahassee Nurseries for over 18years. Kathy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Design in 1993 from Florida A & M and is a Florida Certified Horticultural Professional. She will listen to your needs and determine the best design for you and your home. From renovation projects to major installations, residential or commercial, Kathy has the experience and talent to give customers the most comprehensive outdoor landscaping services available. Areas that Kathy excels in are designing multi-use areas, custom build structures, and utilizing water features such as ponds, fountains, and dry creek beds to bring nature into a homeowner’s yard.
Justin Milam
DesignerJustin Milam has been in landscaping for over twenty-five years, with designs that range from small renovations to large scale installations. Making people’s outdoor dreams come true is what Justin loves most about his job at Tallahassee Nurseries. He also enjoys giving back to the environment, and has contributed to countless beautification projects in Tallahassee and the surrounding areas over the years. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Jen, and daughter, Mary, taking advantage of the natural beauty of Tallahassee with outdoor activities like fishing and hiking. Justin would be happy to design a landscape you will love!
Joe Kidney
DesignerPrior to joining the landscape design team, Joe worked as a foreman here at Tallahassee Nurseries. During this time, he gained the foresight to understand and solve many landscape challenges while implementing functional designs. As a young boy growing up in Northern Kentucky, Joe worked alongside his Dad while learning the ins and outs of creating beautiful landscapes. When Joe isn't designing, he enjoys hiking with his wife, playing golf, and tending to his home garden. Using his excellent work ethic and a great passion for horticulture, Joe would love to work with you to create a beautiful landscape.
Chris Pellegrino
Supervisor of Landscape OperationsChris has been employed with Tallahassee Nurseries since 2017. He started as a crew member, was promoted to the position of Forman as he honed in on his skills working his way up to Supervisor. Chris coordinates the crew, job schedules, equipment and all details of our daily landscape operations. A Tallahassee native, Chris earned his B.S. in environmental studies from the University of West Florida. He's worked in both private and public industries, including management and construction. He enjoys the outdoors and takes prides in his work. You will see his professionalism in every landscape job we do!
